What is Mindfulness?
It’s Simpler Than You Think
Mindfulness might sound complex, but it’s really just about being fully present. It’s paying attention to what’s happening right now, without judgement.
You can use your senses as a starting point: sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch. Notice the world around you. What do you see? Hear? Feel? Take a moment to savor the taste of your food or the scent of a flower. These are all forms of mindfulness.
But mindfulness isn’t just about your surroundings. It’s also about understanding your inner world. Pay attention to your emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, or worry. Notice where you feel these sensations in your body. This self-awareness is a powerful tool. The key to mindfulness is observation, not judgment. When you practice mindfulness, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your environment.
This self-knowledge can help you make better choices, feel more in control and build resilience.
